Managing a mailing list

Media Masters' ListManager is a bureau service for small businesses that need to communicate with their customers on a regular basis, by email, at low cost.

If you have a customer list that you wish to regularly communicate with, you could simply set up a program on your PC, or even use Microsoft Outlook, which can handle a couple of hundred at a time. But there are many downsides to operating this way:

• Sending bulk email from your own computer may result in your IP address being black-listed
• Worse, your ISP may be blacklisted, and the ISP may close your account down
• You may not have the capacity or knowledge to deal with complaints – even if they are invalid
